Whenone of the parties had lost all their beans, the game was done. The implements for a Seneca bowl game in the possession of Mr. JohnN. B. Hewitt, of the Bureau of American Ethnology, obtained by himfrom the Seneca Indians, Cattaraugus Reservation, CattaraugusCounty, New York, consist of a wooden bowl (fig. 50), 9; inches indiameter, and six dice made of fruit stones. A set of bone gamingdisks from the same tribe and place, also in his possession, are repre-sented in plate 6. As will be seen, they are eight in number, andmarked on one side, in a similar way to those of the Micmac andPenobscot.Tuscarora (*?), North Carolina.
