Français : Vue en plongée de six sardiniers de Douarnenez avec leurs équipages. Sur le navire au premier plan, les marins sont prêts à passer à table. Les bols et miches de pain sont sortis pour le repas.
Le sardinier est un bateau de pêche spécialisé dans la capture de la sardine. Comptant 4 560 inscrits maritimes sur une population totale d’environ 15 000 habitants en 1910, la population navigante rythme la vie de Douarnenez depuis le milieu du XIXe siècle. Mais la raréfaction de la sardine au début du XXe siècle oblige les pêcheurs à se tourner vers la capture du thon. |
