Description
English: Cestiuni financiare ("Issues of Finance"), cartoon in the Romanian liberal and antisemitic magazine Asmodeu. Finance Minister Petre Mavrogheni (Ministrulŭ) addressing a caricatured Jew (Evreulŭ): Eŭ amŭ calculile mele. Pentru mine douĕ și cu douĕ facŭ cincĭ, érŭ pentru țéră facŭ treĭ ("I have my own system of calculation. When it's about me, two plus two makes five, whereas for the country they make three"). The Jew responds: D̦icŭ d̦eŭ, m'aĭ întrecutŭ în calcule și în speculațiunĭ! ("Well I'll be: you have surpassed me in calculations and speculations!")
