Summary[edit]

Description
English: 1869 Beers map of the village of Cavendish, Vermont (within the town of Cavendish, Vermont) annotated (red) to show locations related to Phineas Gage's accident in 1848: (A) the two possible accident sites; (T) site of Joseph Adams' tavern, where Gage recovered after the accident; (H) Dr. Harlow's house. Note map is dated 1869 -- twenty yrs after the accident -- by which time ownership of T and H had changed.

Locations discussed in:

The graphical skill of the annotation leaves something to be desired, and if someone wants to go back to File:CavendishVermont 1869Map Beers.jpg and have another go, please do. The accident "locations" are not understood well enough to justify the precision implicit in the use of arrows -- a brace or something like that covering the general area (and, if truth be told, a bit of the area off the map to the south, if there's some way to indicate that) would be more honest.
