| Description | Carvin DC-747 in deep purple, maple neck thru, birdseye maple fingerboard without fret markers, swamp ash body, tung-oiled neck, coil taps, black hardware, and a Floyd. I ordered this on Jan. 3rd. It's been a long wait, but it was well worth it. This is the first guitar I've ever had built to order for me. The build quality of this guitar is truly impressive, especially when you compare it to other instruments in the same price range. The purple finish, while translucent, is quite dark. I had to do a lot of fiddling around with different lights, long shutter speeds, and Photoshop to get the purple to come out. In all but bright light, it looks pretty much black. I will get some good shots of it in full sunlight at my earliest opportunity. |
