Summary

[edit]
Description

California Fuchsia set the foreground while a Western Redbud takes the background. This photo was taken on an unusually foggy morning.

We continue to see carpenter bees "robbing" the Cal Fuchsia nectar, but the most common bee this month is the Honey Bee. In the mornings and evenings we see Yellow Rumped Warblers feeding on the Cal Fuchsia seeds. We also see Bushtits flitting about into and out of the Redbud. These plants have tolerated the hot dry summer--proof of their tolerance to drought.
