| Description |
English: CSIRO and its research partners have created a new contact lens which has a high oxygen permeability and the flexibility to be worn by users on an occasional basis. Building on the research which created the Focus Night and Day (FND) lens, a silicone hydrogel soft contact lens which may be worn continuously for for 30 days and nights, researchers have created a lens with greater flexibility in how it is worn. This came as a response to patients and practitioners who wanted a lens with the oxygen permeability of the FND but that may be worn on a more flexible schedule (daily wear, occasional overnight use). |
