English: A cut halfpenny from Henry II (class 1 b-c) or Richard I (probably class IIIab), from the York mint. The inscriptions are unclear in areas, particularly on the reverse face. The obverse inscription reads REX with a hand holding a sceptre set between the R and the E. |
