Dieser aus Frankreich stammende Brunnen stand von ca. 1903 bis 1965 an der Ecke Höhestraße/Altenberger Straße und war eine Stiftung des Burscheider Bürgers Albert Richartz-Bertrams. 1965 wurde der Brunnen bei einem Unfall so schwer beschädigt, dass er abgebaut werden musste. Er geriet in Vergessenheit, bis Frau Anita Peters das noch weitgehend erhaltene Oberteil von der Stadt übernahm, in ihrem Garten aufstellte und so vor dem endgültigen Verlust bewahrte. Nach ihrem Tod übertrugen es die Erben dem Obst- und Gartenbauverein Burscheid, der ihn mit Hilfe der "Stiftung Burscheid" der Kreissparkasse Köln restaurierte und mit originalgetreuen Teilen aus Frankreich ergänzte. Aus Anlass seines 100jährigen Vereinsjubiläums wurde der restaurierte Brunnen am 7. März 2003 gegenüber seinem alten Standort feierlich enthüllt.
