English: Catalan bed warmer
Català: escalfallits, burro
Deutsch: ein Bettwärmer, genauer ein Bettvorwärmer, in katalanischen Bauernhäusern, funktional ähnlich den in Deutschland im 19. Jahrhundert verwendeten Bettwärmepfannen; auf den in dem Gestell stehenden Metallteller werden glühende Kohlen oder Feuersglut gegeben. Anschließend wird der "burro" unter der Bettdecke positioniert. Das Gerät wird in Katalonien el "burro" (deutsch: der "Esel") genannt. |
