For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Weimar, Hallenbad, Schwimmhalle ADN-ZB Demme 22.4.1973 Erfurt: Neue Schwimmhalle in Weimar Nahezu 800 Besucher, vorwiegend Jugendliche, werden täglich in der am 10.2.73 in der Goethestadt eröffneten Volksschwimmhalle gezählt. Von früh 6, 00 - 21, 30 Uhr nutzen Bürger der Stadt, Schüler, Werktätige der Betriebe sowie gesellschaftliche Organisaionen die sich hier bietende sportliche Möglichkeit des Schwimmens. - Das an der Stirnseite der Halle befindliche Wandbild wurde von dem Künstler der Stadt Eberhard Heiland entworfen. Es zeigt auf bemalten und gebrannten Kacheln Motive des Schwimmsports.
