Das im August 1967 vom Minister für Kultur der DDR, Klaus Gysi, berufene Arnold-Zweig-Komitee der DDR trat am 15.9.1967 in Berlin zur Vorbereitung des 80. Geburtstages des Jubilars zu seiner ersten Sitzung zusammen. Dem Komitee gehören bekannte Persönlichkeiten des politischen, kulturellen und geistigen Lebens der DDR an.

Unser Bild: v.l.n.r.: Dr. Jochen Schäfers, Sekretär des Schriftstellerverbandes; Minister Klaus Gysi; der Stellvertreter des Vorsitzenden des Staatsrates der DDR, Volkskammerpräsident Prof. Dr. Johannes Dieckmann; der Stellvertreter des Vorsitzenden des Ministerrates Dr. Alexander Abusch; Greta Kuckhoff; Prof. Dr. Gerhard-Rudolf Meyer, Vizepräsident des Deutschen Kulturbundes.
