For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-CAF FS-Ho. 19.1.1961 Warschau: Leipziger Gewandhaus-Orchester in Polen gefeiert Über seine bisherigen Eindrücke vom ersten Gastspiel des weltberühmten Gewandhaus-Orchesters in der Volksrepublik Polen sagte Professor Franz Konwitschny: "Mich hat besonders die sehr herzliche Atmosphäre und Aufnahme des DDR-Orchesters erfreut. Eine solche Herzlichkeit gerade in Polen zu erleben, erachte ich als besonders wertvoll". Sowohl in Warschau als auch in Poznan und Bycgoszez hat das Orchester eine kunstliebende und verständige Bevölkerung kennengelernt. Der Andrang zu den Konzerten ist aussergewöhnlich gewesen. UBz: Franz Konwitschny dirigiert das Leipziger Gewandhaus-Orchester in der Warschauer Philharmonie." |
