For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Rostock, Marienehe, Sporthalle, Handballtraining
Zentralbild Wittig Rostocker Sporthalle für Hallenhandball-Weltmeisterschaft gerüstet Im Frühjahr 1958 finden in der DDR die Hallen-Handball-Weltmeisterschaften statt. Während die Endrundenspiele in Berlin ausgetragen werden, gibt es in einigen Städten unserer Republik interessante Vorrundenkämpfe. Einige Spiele werden dabei auch in Rostock stattfinden. Die Sporthalle der Werft- und Hafenstadt Rostock im Ortsteil Marienehe wurde mit einem Kostenaufwand vom 155.000 Mark renoviert und umgebaut. 2 070 Quadratmeter Bodenfläche der Halle wurden mit einem Spezialfußbodenbelag versehen. In der Sporthalle wurden neue Duschräume, Umkleidekabinen und ein Kulturraum gebaut. UBz: Ein Blick in die Rostocker Halle während des Trainings der Handball-Oberligasieben Empor Rostocks. |
