For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schönebeck, Biber Zentralbild Biscan Str-Bu 22.10.1953 Pflege der Biber in Schönebeck Das im Vorbereitung befindliche neue Naturschutzgesetz wird auch dem Biber, einem unserer setensten und kostbarsten Tiere, erhöhte Pflege gewähren. Der Biber, der bis zum Ende des Mittelalters in ganz Mitteleuropa verbreitet war und das älteste Nagetier Deutschlands ist tritt jetzt nur noch im Raume zwischen Magdeburg und Torgau vereinzelt auf. UBz: Willi Jensch mit Kamera und Elektronenblitz auf der Lauer, um eine jungen Biber zur fotografieren, der in der Abenddämmerung auf Nahrungssuche geht.
