For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Ankauf von Obst und Gemüse ADN-ZB Link 13.8.83 Berlin: Frisches Obst von Kleingärtner. In der Kleingartenanlage "Am Anger" in Berlin-Wilhlemsruh kaufen Kurt und Dorothea Denzig (rechts, hinten) ehrenamtlich das Ost der Gartenfreunde auf. Manfred Lehmann (vorn) liefert Birnen der Sorte "Gute Luise" ab. Am Sonnabend konnten in dieser Gartenanlage ca. zwei Tonnen Obst aufgekauft werden. Insgesamt lieferten die Berliner Kleingärtner bis Ende Juli etwa 557 Tonnen Gemüse und 78 Tonnen Obst für die Versorgung der Bevölkerung.
