For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Fucik-Platz, Wohnblocks, Straßenbahn ADN-ZB Häßler 5.3.82 Dresden: Schöne DDR. Der Fucik-Platz ist einer der Verkehrsknotenpunkt Dresdens. In seiner Nähe sind in jüngerer Zeit moderne Wohnhäuser entstanden. Nach dem Bombenangriff im Februar 1945 hatten auch hier alle Häuser in Schutt und Asche gelegen. Der Platz wurde nach dem tschechischen Widerstandskämpfer Julius Fucik, den die Faschisten 1943 hingerichtet haben, benannt.
