For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Großgermersleben, Pflege von sowjetischen Gräbern Zentralbild Biscan 15.4.1953 Zum 8. Mai Genossenschaftsbauern betreuen sowjetische Gräber Auf dem Friedhof von Großgermersleben, Kreis Wanzleben, sind drei Sowjetsoldaten beerdigt, die bei der Befreiung der Magdeburger Börde ihr Leben lassen mußten. Die Gartenbaubrigade der Landwirtschaftlichen Produktionsgenossenschaft "Bürdeland" in Großgermersleben übernahm nun die Verpflichtung, die drei Heldengräber zu betreuen und besonders zum 8. Mai, dem Tag der Befreiung, zu schmücken. UBz: Die junge Genossenschaftbäuerin Edith Galuba beim Anpflanzen von Blumen auf den Gräbern.
