Summary[edit]

Description
English: Broad Halfpenny Lane. At this point Broad Halfpenny Lane (pronounced Broadhayp'ny) forms the eastern boundary of Tadley Common. The picture is looking north from the junction with Blake's Lane. I believe the road got its name from the hapenny toll charged to cattle drovers using the lane to reach grazing ground on the common.
