Brinegar Cabin - Doughton Park. An interpretive plaque stands near the fence that surrounds the Brinegar Cabin garden. The cabin and farmstead was established in the late 1880s, and it became used as an interpretive site when the Blue Ridge Parkway was developed. Depending on the season, the garden contains buckwheat, flax, sorghum, pole beans, and dipper gourds.
