Summary[edit]
DescriptionBridge connects northeastern Nangarhar to rest of province 111009-F-DA087-001.jpg |
English: Prior to the bridge being built, travelers would have to depend on a hazardous and costly ferry, which was impossible to use during the flood season and claimed lives nearly every year. The only other alternative was traveling nearly four hours through three districts to reach Jalalabad. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Jeff M. Nagan, Nangarhar Provincial Reconstruction Team Public Affairs)
