Summary[edit]
DescriptionBricklayers Arms pub (ex) 33-37 Brunel Road, Rotherhithe, London, SE16 - geograph.org.uk - 1545569.jpg |
English: Bricklayers Arms pub (ex) 33-37 Brunel Road, Rotherhithe, London, SE16 At the junction with Hatteraick Street and first recorded in 1851. In 1905 it was shown with a third floor but this had been removed before 1935. Ceased trading as a pub about 1987. Was possibly the only pub in the area where, in the 1960's and early 1970's the Saturday evening customers had a regular good old "Londoners singalong". Since closing as a pub it has lost two chimney stacks, two doors in Hatteraick Street and a door beneath the 'R' in Rainbow. It's previous name was "Painters Arms". |
