Examining a surface's hydrophobicity by watching a water droplet bounce off it

Summary[edit]

Description
English: If a solid surface is superhydrophobic, the water drops can bounce on it multiple times. Using a high-speed camera is it possible to count the number of bounces and evaluate the interaction between liquid and surface. In the figure, in the background the experimental set up and in the foreground a scientist examines the frames captured by the high speed camera.
