Description
English:

Beyond a split-rail fence, a trail passes through an open, grassy field.

Bluffs Picnic Area - Doughton Park. Picnic trails that were built in 1939 contribute to the national significance of the parkway. These trails extend roughly to where the second comfort station is currently located. With the extension of the road in the 1950s, a portion of these trails were obliterated; still, many remain in place. In this image, Bluff Mountain Trail leads off from the end of Ridge Road.
