Description
Deutsch: Die drei Stufen eines BLEVEs
English: The three steps af a BLEVE:
  1. A hole in the tank causes a gas leak (and sometimes a first "bang").
  2. The leak causes a drop of pressure; the liquefied gas starts to boil.
  3. The pressure rises due to the boiling, which causes the explosion.
Français : Les trois étapes d'une bleve :
  1. Une ouverture dans le réservoir entraîne une fuite de gaz (parfois accompagné d'une première explosion.)
  2. La fuite de gaz fait chuter la pression, le gaz liquéfié commence à bouillir.
  3. L'ébullition provoque une remontée de la pression, le réservoir explose.
