Summary[edit]

Description
English: one of possible classifications of 3 large families of biocides.
The phytosanitary (plant caring theorycally) are among the pesticides (which fight against pests) that are themselves part of the family of biocides which also includes disinfectants, antibiotics, Javel water, etc..
The study of biocides and the study of the impacts of biocides also need to understand and take into account the residues and metabolites of these biocides. understand and take into account the residues and metabolites of these biocides. It should also take account of any inteactions between these metabolites and their parent compounds, between certain residues and other metabolites, certain metabolites between them, between residues and certain metabolites and between all these products (biocides, metabolites and residues) with other pollutants (heavy metals for example, endocrine disruptors) or other molecules. These studies are complex and barely started.
