Deutsch: Berlin-Kreuzberg, Deutschland – Gebäude Oranienstraße 40-41 und Oranienplatz 17, erbaut 1913, Architekten Cremer & Wolffenstein; Bauherr war der Kaufmann und Stadtverordnete Leopold Jacobi (1847-1917); Geschäftshaus wurde zuerst an die AEG und das Cafe Oranienpalast vermietet; in den 1920ern Sitz des Zentralverbands der Angestellten und der "Berliner Privat Telefon Gesellschaft", von 1925 an Hotelbetrieb "Ahlbecker Hof" und Sitz der "Allgemeinen Textil-Fabrikations und Handels AG Clemens & August Brenninkmeyer" (heute C&A); 1936 gehörte Brenninkmeyer das Gebäude; 1956 Auszug von C&A, Nutzung durch Cundra-Kleiderfabrik, später u. a. ein Möbelgeschäft, eine Diskothek und bis mindestens 2005 ein Supermarkt (Plus) [1]
