Svenska: Bengt Ruda för Ikea, fåtöljen Cavelli, 1958–1959.
Modellen Cavelli är den dyraste IKEA-möbel som någonsin sålts på auktion. Fåtöljen är ytterst ovanlig och har enligt IKEAs arkiv tillverkats i endast 5 exemplar. Bengt Ruda kom till IKEA från Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) år 1957. Ruda hade under 1950-talet gjort sig känd för banbrytande möbler och skördat stor framgång som formgivare för NK. År 1958 formgav han modellen Cavelli som är något av det mest progressiva som Ikea har presenterat när det gäller banbrytande estetik. Idag betraktas Cavelli som en av Ikeas mest ikoniska modeller och återfinns bland annat i varuhusets egna museum. |
