Description
Deutsch: Die sechstürmige Klosterkirche, das Laacher Münster, ist eine gewölbte Pfeilerbasilika mit prachtvollem Westeingang, dem sogenannten Paradies (in dieser Art einzigartig nördlich der Alpen)[2] und dem 1859 restaurierten Kreuzgang aus dem Anfang des 13. Jahrhunderts. Sie gilt als eines der schönsten Denkmäler der romanischen Baukunst aus der Salierzeit in Deutschland. Im Ostchor, in dem die Messen gefeiert werden und sich das Chorgestühl des Konvents befindet, hat sich als Hochaltar ein einzigartiger Ziborienaltar erhalten. Dieses Ziborium ist ein auf Säulen gestützter Baldachin.
