English: Main building of Beloyarsk Nuclear Power Station as seen from the Beloyarskoye Reservoir near Zarechny, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. Beloyarsk has the largest fast breeder reactor (BN-600) of the world and is currently building another one (BN-800). As of 2007 it is the only commercial nuclear powerplant of the Urals and the oldest Russian commercial nuclear powerplant still in use. Besides the BN-600 it also has 2 older graphite reactors, which were shutdown in the 1980s and 1990s.
Français : Le bâtiment principal de la centrale nucléaire de Beloyarsk (vu ici en 2005 à partir du lac-réservoir de Beloyarskoye) près Zarechny, dans l'oblast de Sverdlovsk, en Russie. La centrale de Beloyarsk intègre un réacteur à neutrons rapides (BN-600), le plus grand encore en fonctionnement dans le monde, et un autre est en construction (BN-800). En 2007, c'était la seule centrale nucléaire à vocation commerciale de l'Oural (et la plus ancienne encore en usage en Russie). Outre le BN-600 il dispose aussi de 2 réacteurs au graphite âgés, arrêtés dans les années 1980 et 1990 |
