English: Bayreuth Synagogue. Note the proximity to the Margravial Opera House (now UNESCO World Heritage Site), the cause why it wasn "only" devastated and not burnt down in the November 1938 Pogroms ("Kristallnacht").
Deutsch: Bayreuther Synagoge. Ehemaliges Redoutenhaus; zweigeschossiger, barocker Putzbau mit Eckrustika und Walmdach. Erbaut 1715, 1938 verwüstet. Gut erkennbar die unmittelbare Nähe zum Markgräflichen Opernhaus (heute UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe), ein Umstand, der das Niederbrennen in den Novemberpogromen 1938 verhinderte.
