Description
Deutsch: Bayreuth, Herkulesbrunnen, Maxstrasse. Elias Gedeler (1620-1693) entwarf für den Bayreuther Marktplatz 1676 den von Georg Wieshack ausgeführten Herkulesbrunnen. 1755 neue Figur von Johann Gabriel Räntz. Original-Herkules-Brunnenskulptur war seit 1926 bis 2005 im Park am Festspielhügel, nach 2005 im Historischen Museum Bayreuth ausgestellt. Kopie der Herkules-Brunnenskulptur am Marktplatz 1926 von Bildhauern Martin Mösch und Christian Weißbrod erstellt.
