Description A battle-damaged U.S. Marine Corps Vought F4U-1D Corsair aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington (CV-20), in 1945. Marine Fighting Squadrons VMF-112 and VMF-123 were assigned to Carrier Air Group 82. Note Bennington´s geometric air group identification symbol on the wings.
