| Description |
Português: A Bandeira do I.H.J é um retângulo tricolor auricerúleo esmeraldino cujo tamanho é igual a 1 ½ vez de largura, formado por três verticais equivalentes em largura e tamanho, da esquerda para direita - blau - jalne - sinople - partindo da bainha. São as cores filhas das nacionais, de autoria do sócio correspondente AMARO MATIAS SILVA, de Caruaru. Encarregado de traçar seu perfil e simbolismo.
Ao centro, na lista áurea, está o escudo ornado adotado com o brasão d’armas, da entidade, autoria do sócio correspondente LUIZ G. CORRÊA, Goiana-PE, aprovado e já em uso desde 1978. Simbolismo (in Heráldica) das cores da bandeira a listra de blau (azul) simboliza a lealdade e formosura dos habitantes da terra; a de jalne (ouro)- a nobreza e majestade dos nobres filhos que lutam pela Pátria nascente, fazendo a História e a nobreza brasileira; a de sinople (verde) a fé e o respeito aos postulados de nossos ancestrais cristãos honrados e a esperança de melhores dias na pesquisa e divulgação dos feitos heroicos.
