Summary[edit]

Description

English: Track outline of a cycleway built by reusing the embankment of former railway line Zeitz–Camburg, shown on a background map published around 1930. The cycleway connects closeby villages and attracts tourists as well as city escapers looking for nature, fresh air and a zone free of motorized vehicles.

Color codes:

  • BLUE completed parts of the cycleway as of february 2016, blacktop/asphalt
  • PINK currently accessible by foot and big-wheeled bicycles only, grass/ground surface, gravel in part
  • GREEN scrub'd parts, currently impassible by pedestrians and cyclists alike
  • BROWN razed embankment parts, that have been re-integrated into nearby farmland areas
  • YELLOW former links to the railway net, railway areas not publicly accessible
