English: So-called Portrait of Marguerite Louise d'Orléans (1645-1721), wife of Cosimo III de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany (1642-1723).
Italiano: "Il dipinto presenta caratteri di stile romani e trova analogie strettissime tanto da far supporre che si tratti della stessa tela già appartenente a Ruffo de Bonneval de la Fare, venduta a Bruxelles il 23 maggio 1900 come lotto 24 e di cui abbiamo una immagine nell'archivio Voss n. 0022397 come opera di Carlo Maratti. È interessante altresì verificare che una similissima composizione fu esitata a Londra presso Christie's l'8 luglio 2005, lotto 80 come Justus Sustermans. E' possibile cogliere nell'opera evidenti affinità con la ritrattistica di Gaulli ed ipotizzare di trovarsi al cospetto di una prova giovanile di Giovanni Odazzi (Roma, 1663 - 1731), artista formatosi con Ciro Ferri e con il Baciccio, ma che fece tesoro degli esempi di Carlo Maratta."
