A theorized mechanism for how the brain provides meaning to letters

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Discussed in book Rings of Fire by Brad Caldwell, a b "skewer" (grey) can "pin together" sufficient related memories of the letter to provide you with meaning, including how the letter sounds, how to make the sound vocally, how to draw it, memories of drawing it, and a hint of the mood felt in each memory. It is rolled over quickly (1/50th of a second or less) and provides the ability to navigate to vocalizing the consonant or placing it into a word or just for reading and getting the mental sound of it. The chasm created by the letter b (cutting into the "bank") shows the viewer (ostensibly the prefrontal cortex) a quick glimpse of memories and moods to give it meaning and the necessary pathways for using it.
