Summary[edit]

Description
English: The map was first published in Johann Ludwig Gottfried's Newe archontologia cosmica in 1638. It is a reduction of Blaeu's map of the same title first published in his Novus atlas in 1634. Matthaus Merian moved the cartouche from the top centre to the bottom left. Covers Southeast Asia, India, including Japan and New Guinea.
