English: B-flow mode of ultrasonography over a valve (in center of the image) of the great saphenous vein a couple of centimeters above the level of the knee of a 67 year old woman who had developed a thrombosed aneurysm inferiorly. Upon compression, blood is flowing forward (toward left in the image), but under decompression there is venous reflux (flow toward right in the image). |
