English: Two-headed turquoise serpent which was probably used as a chest ornament during ceremonial occasions. It is made of carved wood covered with turquioise, with red and white shell being used for the mouth and eyes. It was likely created in Mixtec areas under Aztec control between 1400 and 1521.
