Description
Deutsch: Dachau, Augsburger Straße 15, ehemalige Bäckerei: Das Haus stammt (gemäß Denkmalliste) im Kern aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, doch die auf den Fotos gezeigten Fassadendetails datieren von der Erneuerung im Jahr 1930.
  • Über der Ladentür und dem Schaufenster (beide aus der Nachkriegszeit) steht der Firmenname Steigenberger in goldenen Lettern angeschrieben. Darüber zeigt ein Steinrelief zwei kleine Kinder, die von einer vierstöckigen Torte naschen. Der Steinmetz hat es links oben signiert („N“?).
  • Das Fenster über der zweiflügeligen Haustür – rechts neben dem Laden – ist mit einem Schmuckgitter versehen. Im Zentrum ist eine Brezel (Brezn) im Lorbeerkranz als Zeichen des Bäckerhandwerks dargestellt, links und rechts flankiert vom Monogramm des Bäckers: „S St“. Darunter ist die Jahreszahl des Umbaus angegeben: „1930“. Oben, in den Ecken sowie in der Mitte der Jahreszahl schmücken acht Rosetten das Gitter. Doch das eigentliche Gitterwerk ist modern (Art Déco?) gegliedert und weder barock noch sonstwie verschnörkelt. – Unter dem Schmutz von Jahrzehnten ist das ein schönes Stück Schmiedehandwerkskunst!
