Description

Statue de la Reine Atshepsout agenouillée tenant un vase rituel Nouvel Empire 18ème dynastie, 1475 avant J.-C. Granit rouge 87 cm Thèbes ouest / Deir-el-Bahari Œuvre présentée au Neues Museum à Berlin

La statue conservée au musée de Berlin montre qu'Atshepsout porte, comme un roi, la coiffure appelée "Khat" avec l'uraeus sur le front et la barbe de cérémonie attachée au menton.

Le vase rituel placé sur ses genoux est décoré d'un pilier appelé "djed" (le pilier djed est le symbole-clé du rétablissement de l'ordre universel).

On peut néanmoins observer que son visage a des traits féminins et que ses yeux sont entourés de kohol.
