العربية: يؤكل ثمر النخلة على شكل خلال أو الرطب ويؤكل لبعض الأصناف الأخرى على شكل تمر أو بعد أن يجف، يتراوح طول الثمرة من 2,5 – 7,5 سم وهي أسطوانية الشكل، يبلغ إنتاج النخلة الواحدة حوالي 100 كغ ويصل إلى 400 كغ في بعض الأنواع، يكون الثمر بالعموم طريا أو نصف جاف أو جافا ويابسا.
English: Date trees reach up to 30 metres (100 feet) in height, growing singly or forming a clump with several stems from a single root system. Slow-growing, they can reach over 100 years of age when maintained properly.[7] The roots have pneumatodes |
