| Description | La presentación de antígenos estimula a los linfocitos (células) T a convertirse ya sean "citotóxicos" CD8+ o "colaboradores" CD4+. Los linfocitos citotóxicos atacan de forma directa a otras células que contengan ciertas moléculas exógenas anormales en sus superficies. Los linfocitos T colaboradores, o Th (por sus siglas en inglés), coordinan las respuestas inmunes mediante la comunicación con otras células. En la mayoría de casos, los linfocitos T sólo reconocen los antígenos contenidos en la superficie mediante una de las moléculas de MHC (complejo mayor de histocompatibilidad) del propio cuerpo. |
