Summary[edit]

Description
English: Anti-tank traps, Bridge 99, Kennet and Avon Canal These concrete cylinders are quite common along the canal. They were put there in the dark days of 1939 or 1940 when there was a real threat that Nazi forces would invade this country. In the event Hitler, whose biggest military failing was not to learn from history, decided against invading us and invaded Russia instead.
