ng du côlon sigmoïde. Généralement même, on trouve à ceniveau quelques arcades de second ordre doù naîtront les vaisseauxdroits destinés à cette portion du gros intestin. Contrairement à ce qui se passe au niveau de langle droit et delangle gauche des côlons, ces arcades de second ordre sont ici dunevariété considérable. Tantôt elles se font assez près de lintestin, à 3ou 4 centimètres de lui, tantôt au contraire, elles se forment très hauten plein méso, à 7 ou 8 centimètres de lanse colique. Parmi ces anastomoses, il en est une qui a été loccasion de tra-vaux nombreux et dont on a élevé limportance à un niveau quellene mérite pas : cest lanastomose de la dernière artère sigmoïdienneavec la terminaison de la mésentérique inférieure ou lune des hémor-roïdales.
