Summary[edit]

Description

A Juvenile male judging by the size and short tail feathers. The bird flew away after seeing me. This is usually the end of the mating season - the birds prefer the cooler air to perform the mating dance and expose their tail feathers in a beautiful pattern. They are short flyers often flying max to a few 100 meters at best, mostly escaping from predators like humans, dogs, leopards and even tigers which were photographed killing Peacocks.
