Translation: Didacus punishes the rebellion of the Indians. Didacus Ocampus, leaving the port of Dominica with 300 soldiers, arrived at Cumana at short notice, and ordered all his barbarians, except the ship's companions, to hide under the planks of the ships, so that the Indians, since so few Spaniards appeared, would more promptly submit to come to the ship and be persuaded that they themselves should be taken from Spain.
