Summary[edit]

Description
English: A brightly-coloured certificate showing at the top three seated female allegorical figures of Wisdom, Justice and Truth. The whole certificate is bordered in an architectural arch of green marble background with gold highlights, and there are inset scenes of steam trains, railway workshops, a stationmaster, signalman and clerks. In the centre is the logo of a handshake and the motto "All men are brothers".

M J Mack who has signed the certificate as general secretary, did not take up this position until 1908 and continued in it until 1926. Therefore, although the poster records Chambers' membership beginning in 1889, the certificate must date sometime in the period 1908-1926.
Quantity: 1 colour art print(s).
Physical Description: Coloured lithograph, 545 x 440 mm.
Provenance: Purchased at Bethunes at Webbs auction, Auckland, 8 June 2006, lot 255.
