MOVING OLIVET CHURCH FROM FIFTH AND ROCKLAND STREETS TO TENTH AND RUSCOMB STREETS, PHILA-DELPHIA, POINTS NEARLY ONE MILE DISTANT In the large work done by the Board of HomeMissions, the Womans Missionary Society of Gen-eral Synod has been rendering valuable service. The Board of Home Missions has 234 missions onits roll. They are divided as follows:English 135 ItalianGerman 83 ColoredHungarian 14 JapaneseBohemian 2 HarborThe total membership in the mission congregationsis 23,596. The missions contributed for benevolencelast year $37,985. During the last year General Syn-ods Board of Home Missions enrolled 14 new mis-sions and built 6 new churches. During the 52 yearsof its existence it has aided 510 churches. Dr. B. F. Riley, of Birmingham, Ala., recently gavethe following figures showing the comparativestrength of the negro membership in the leading de-nominations : Baptists, 2,341,205; Methodists (allbranches), 1,434,624; Presbyterians, 29,000; RomanCatholics, 38,235; Protestant Epi
